if you double the area, you have to double it agian. Then you dived thearea to find the two factors that create the area.Then those two are thebace and height.

the doubled area of a triangle would be like B x H itself without having to cut it in half.

its like finding the area for square just bxh=A
triangle =BxH/2=A
Square =BXH=A
thats what happens when u double the area of a triangle
