you would save $900 with the discount of 15%, because 15% of 6000 is 900, and the price would be $5100.

10% of 6000 is 600, and 5% of 5400 (because 10% is already off) is 270. So 600 + 270 is 870, and the price of the car is $5130.

with 15% off, the car cause $5100. With 10% off, the car will cause $5400 so you will saved $300. With 5% off, the car will cause $5700 so you will save $600.

with a single discount of 15%, you would save $900. 85% of $6000 is $5100 (price of car) and 6000 - 5100 = 900 (discount).

10% of 6000 is 600 (discount). 6000 - 600 = 5400 (price).
5% of 5400 is 270 (discount).
5400 - 270 = 5130 (price).
600 + 270 = 870 (total discount).

Therefore, $30 is saved by buying a car priced at $6000 with a single discount of 15% rather than buying the same car with a discount of 10% and 5%.

6000x.15=900
6000
- 900
5100

6000x.10=600
6000
- 600
5400

5400x.05=270

5400
- 270
5130

u save $30 more with taking the 15% off instead of useing the 10% and 5%

6000=price of car (orginal)

15% discount =5100
10%+5%=5130

if you buy a car that's $6000 with a 15% discount, it is $5100.

And if you discount it with 10% and a 5%, it just worth $5130

so 5130-3100=30

so you saved $30.

And where's the shsat questions???
