well;
14hrs after 9am is 11pm.
then
14 hrs after 11pm is 1pm
then 14 hrs after 1pm is 3am?
so 3am?
let me think now.....
9am+28 hours
14x2=28
24 hours =1 day
28 hours-24 hours=4 hours
so 1 day passed and now its been 28 hours and its 1pm
1pm+14 hours=3am the next day
ANSWER:the end of the third shift ended 2 days later then when they first started at 3am
3*14=42 hours...
42 hours after 9 am is 3 am...
9am+14 hours= 11pm...
and yeaaa...so the answer is 3 am i think...
1 p.m. the next day
14 hrs * 3 = 42 hrs.
42 hours from 9 a.m. is 3 A.M. in the early morning of the day after the next day.
i multiply 14*3=42 since there are three 14 hour shifts.
24 hours from 9 a.m.= 9 a.m.
so 42- 24= 18
another 12 hours is 9p.m. with 6 hours left and plus 6 more hours to 9 p.m. is 3 a.m. So the end whistle will sound at 3 a.m.

6 hrs from 9:00 AM = 3: PM
it starts at 9am so 12hours from then is 9pm then add 2hours is 11pm then 12hours from 11pm is 11am
11am and 2hours is 1pm
then 1pm add 12 hours is 1am and add 2 hours is 3am
Janying and Jiehao are correct. The answer is 3 pm.
9 am ----- 24 hours later -- 9 am
9 am ----- 12 hours later -- 9 pm
(3 times 14 = 52)
52 -(24 + 12) = 6 hours
9 am plus 6 hours is 3 pm
